Educating Senior Leaders into Risk Leaders
Leaders taking calculated risk
Leadership requires risk taking. My risk leadership programs for boards, executives and team leaders help them take calculated risks, eyes wide open, bringing all stakeholders along the way.
A successful organisation
A successful organisation is one that EMBRACES UNCERTAINTY by its leaders to:
- Deliver sustainable growth
- Achieve more, with less, with fewer surprises
- Achieve 80% or more of targets 20% sooner
I help leaders see the value in risk so that the risk function is more effective as an enabler of faster, better decision making.
My key message is that risk is not for compliance or for the comfort of a regulator, the audit and risk committee or the board. It is for leaders. To help them be more successful. To provide clear insights to decision making. To provide strong leadership of the organisation on the risks to be taken and those to be avoided or mitigated.
If you want leaders who realise that risk is not a compliance function, who make better decisions faster and reach their goals sooner, I’d love to help.
The risk management journey progresses from vulnerability to agility. From risk being seen as a compliance activity to one that provides leadership on risk taking. It is much like the journey of a child into adulthood. A child starts as vulnerable, becoming reactive to the world. They become increasingly resilient as they build capability. As they gain greater and greater insights, they become agile, able to shift from one opportunity to the next. Risk leadership delivers agile organisations through faster, better decision making.
